Zuxpects
Capturing the art, power, and detail of the world's most extraordinary machines.
Ferrari · Daytona SP3
Unloaded at Dawn
Caught the moment a Daytona SP3 rolled backward down the ramps of a Reliable Carriers trailer onto the sand lot at Monterey. No ropes, no stage, no crowd control — just that Rosso Magma bodywork and the louvered rear deck emerging from a dark trailer under flat morning marine layer.
Maserati · 200SI
Front Row at The Lodge
A works-bodied 200SI idling on the drive outside The Lodge at Pebble Beach, red paint still wet-looking under the marine layer. Fantuzzi aluminium over a twin-cam four, knock-off wire wheels, a single aero screen and a cockpit that is mostly bare metal, red leather and a wood-rimmed wheel.
Apollo & McLaren · Intensa Emozione / Senna GTR
Driveway Standoff
Two track weapons idling on the same Pebble Beach lodge driveway in the fog: the orange-and-white number 12 Senna GTR nose-out on the kerb, and a gloss black Apollo IE sat beside it looking like something that escaped a wind tunnel. Shot wide to keep the cypress and clipped hedges in frame, then again from behind as the GTR was walked out on its UK plate.
SSC · Tuatara Striker & Aggressor
Night Stalkers
Same pair, different world. Long after the crowds cleared, the two Tuataras sat under a hotel pergola in Monterey with nothing but sodium light and ferns for company — the lime-striped carbon Striker and the silver-and-red Aggressor, wings up, hunting nothing.
McLaren · MCL38 — Lando Norris #4
Papaya on a Side Street
Lando Norris' McLaren F1 car — the papaya-and-anthracite MCL38 in full Chrome, OKX, Dell and Darktrace livery — sitting on an ordinary Los Angeles side street outside a parking structure. No paddock, no grandstands: just kerb paint, cracked asphalt and a Jeep parked a few feet away.
McLaren & Bugatti · P1 HDK & Chiron Super Sport
Coast Road Trinity
Lanzante's P1 HDK — the road-legal reinterpretation of the P1 GTR, with its fixed swan-neck wing, exposed carbon flanks and burnt-orange cabin — pulled off 17-Mile Drive between two Bugatti Chiron Super Sports, one in black over Bugatti blue, the other in pure white. Three of the most extreme road cars ever built, idling on cracked coastal asphalt while the marine layer burned off over the Pacific.
Porsche · 911 GT1 Strassenversion
Homologated for the Street
A road-legal Le Mans car sitting on a quiet Monterey driveway under a low grey marine layer. The GT1 barely resembles the 911 it borrows its name from — a carbon tub, a mid-mounted twin-turbo flat-six, and bodywork stretched flat and wide over gold BBS centre-locks.
Lotec · Sirius
Lotec Sirius — One of One
The only Lotec Sirius ever built, parked on the 17-Mile Drive coastline with its scissor door raised. Silver over blue leather, twin-turbo Mercedes V12 behind the cabin, deep-dish BBS mesh wheels and a hand-formed body that looks like nothing else on earth.
Ferrari · 250 Testa Rossa
250 Testa Rossa in Green
A dark green 250 Testa Rossa sitting on a quiet Pebble Beach lane under the cypress and Monterey pine, Italian plate PO1245 MI still on the nose. Flat overcast light rolled softly across the hand-formed pontoon bodywork — the yellow Scuderia shields, the Jaeger tach and wood-rim Nardi wheel, the tan leather buckets, and the wire wheels tucked under those signature fenders.
