A white Lexus LFA parked alone on a coastal turnout at Pebble Beach, headlights on under a heavy marine layer. Flat grey light suited it — soft gradients over the carbon-fibre bodywork, the deployed rear wing, the forged silver wheels over red calipers, and those triple stacked exhausts sitting dead centre over the Pacific.
