Carrera GT

Basalt black Carrera GT sitting mid-fairway at Rolling Hills in Los Angeles, a black-and-white helicopter parked behind it with its rotors folded like a signature over the sky. Nothing about this car needs help — the 5.7-litre Le Mans V10, the carbon monocoque, the beech-wood shift knob, the yellow ceramic calipers glowing behind five-spoke silver wheels. I shot it low and head-on so the fairway falls away underneath, then walked it: the crest on that long carbon clamshell, the two roof scoops feeding the intakes, the fixed wing lifted over the deck and 'Carrera GT' scripted across the tail. Deep California blue up top, clipped green underneath, and one of the last analogue hypercars in between.
